Ipreo is currently seeking an exceptional User Experience Research Manager to join the UX team in our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will be an expert in UX research, passionate about conducting research in order to better understand user behavior. You will work very closely with our Developers, Designers and Product Managers with an eye toward refining and developing the very best user experience for our customers. You will work alongside bright, supportive and collaborative team members who share your true passion for innovation.
What you’ll work on:
-Manage and mentor team of three Senior UX Researchers.
-Work with internal and external subject matter experts to develop Personas, Story Maps, Site Maps, and User Workflows.
-Design and conduct user research at all stages of a project lifecycle from initial concept through to continuous improvement.
-Work closely with internal and client teams to turn user insight into actionable product/service requirements that feed into prototype development, and influence product direction.
-Assess existing sites/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding.
-Help Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, and DataVisualization Designers translate StoryMaps into Wireframes.
-Conduct Usability tests and product validation sessions with clients.
-Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
-Advocate, champion and effectively communicate research findings to management and product teams through briefings and presentations.
-Stay abreast of current research trends and bring innovative methods to the research team.
-Contribute to our company-wide research strategy.
-Advocate and develop appropriate research strategies and plans of work to generate a clear understanding of user needs, generate key insights and to help shape products and services.
Help shape and evolve our UX research processes and best practices.
What we look for:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in user research.
-2 years of experience managing a creative team.
-Strong Portfolio with examples of Personas, Story Maps, Site Maps, Information Architecture, User Workflows, Page Descriptions, Usability Tests.
-Strong in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
-Excellent interpersonal skills for communication inside and outside the company.
-Good organization skills and capability to multi-task.
-Fortitude to power through road blocks.
-Strong critical thinking skills.
-Agency experience preferred.
-Knowledge of the agile software development process.
-Degree with an emphasis in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Psychology, Psychology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
