    Ipreo is looking for a User Experience Designer to helm the design of some of our desktop and rich web applications. This role will focus on designing modern desktop software utilizing the latest UX methodologies and best practices. They will work closely with our multidisciplinary UX team, as well as product owners and developers. They will produce creative solutions for complex workflows dealing with the financial industry. This candidate will not only have extensive understanding of UX methodologies, but they will also have a high degree of visual design talent.

    Ipreo wants a thoughtful, inherently collaborative, and detail-focused designer that thrives on complexity and can take ownership of a project to provide design guidance and direction with innovative solutions that go beyond simple business requirements. A product design portfolio review will be required and must include sketches, ideation process and final work.

    What You’ll Work On

    • Conceive, manage, and drive the project’s design from concept to implementation using the full breadth of the UX process

    • Create UX artifacts of the appropriate fidelity to describe the intended experience

    • Explore how to turn complex interactions into simple and inventive user interfaces

    • Create specifications and/or style sheets to be used by developers to code

    • Work closely and collaboratively with the UX team, QA testers, and both business and development leads

    • Present and defend design decisions with cross-functional team members in order to gain buy-in

    • Help design and implement design standards, interaction frameworks and a patterns library

    • Incorporate user research, personas, and user validation testing into design decisions

    • Show deep knowledge of the latest science and trends in UX/UI best practices

    The tools that you need to know

    • Balsamiq, Axure or other prototyping and wire framing tools

    • Adobe Creative Suite

    • HTML 5, CSS 3 frameworks, and familiarity with Javascript

    • Understanding of multiple OS’s and cross-browser debugging tools

    What We Look For

    • 4+ years as a User Experience Designer, UI Designer, Interaction Designer, or related field

    • High level of skill in graphic design, with an eye for typography, a professional modern style, and a pixel-level attention to detail

    Job Summary:

    In this role a candidate would be a UX designer who will design new and support on-going functional deliveries for the bank's trading & Client applications.
